The SCAHL is proud to recognize the SCAHL Champion Medicine Hat Hounds Midget AA team, who won the Alberta Midget AA Provincial Championship Sunday. The Hounds won the Gold Medal game with a 5-2 win over the Calgary CNHA Canucks, after having gone 3-1 in the round robin portion of the tourney. The League congratulates the staff and players on this outstanding accomplishment.
In the Pee Wee AA Provincial Championships held in Medicine Hat, the host team Medicine Hat Hounds (who were the SCAHL South Conference Champions) won the Bronze Medal over the SWZ Oil Kings 6-2. SCAHL League Champion West Central Tigers just missed the medal round.
The SCAHL would like to note that with these results, in addition to the Provincial Bantam AA Championship previously won by the Wheatland Warriors, the League captured two out of the three provincial gold medals contested and one bronze medal. This speaks not only to the quality of our League Champions but also on the competitive level of the League as a whole.
